The Mayor and Commissioners will meet at the Regular Commissioners’ Meeting, Friday, Feb 17 at 7 pm in the Commissioners’ Room.  Following are some of items listed for discussion and vote:

 

  • Presentation by and discussion with Girl Scout Troop 287 concerning energy efficient changes they would like to propose for Grove Park.
  • Confirm appointment to the Planning Commission for the unexpired term of Patrick Gossett who last month, was selected to fill a vacancy on the Board of Commissioners.

Rehoboth presents $15.6 million budget

Rehoboth Beach officials unveiled the first draft of the city's $15.6 million, 2012-13 budget, which includes no tax or revenue increases.

Rehoboth Beach — Officials expect little controversy with this year’s Rehoboth Beach budget, which calls for no tax or parking increases.

The Mayor and Commissioners met on January 20, 2012, and took the following actions:

  • Unanimously voted to accept the Mayor’s recommendation that Patrick Gossett be appointed to fill the remaining term of Commissioner Kathy McGuiness (until September 2012.) Patrick Gossett was immediately sworn in by Alderman Judy Catterton and warmly welcomed by the Commissioners.
  • Held Public Hearing and consideration of a proposed ordinance that would amend the City Code by deleting Section 270-19(A)(1)(f) which limits the hours a restaurant patio may be used.  City Solicitor Mandalas reported that by removing the section, patios could remain ...
